Jacqueline Ruth Nelson

Jacqueline Ruth Nelson, 83, of Gilmer, passed away Tuesday, Sept 7, 2021. She was born March 30, 1938 in Smackover, Arkansas to the late Ellis Leveritt and Ruth Harris Leveritt.

Jacqueline believed in living life to its fullest; as she was a member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes, and also served in the United States Marine Corp. In later years she enjoyed being able to stay home and raise her family. She was a member of the Baptist faith and enjoyed her time with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carn Nelson; children, Melody Clouse, Bill Bothman and wife Julie, Christine Blanchard, and Teresa Wilson and husband Gary; grandchildren; Chris Clouse, Marc Clouse, Joshua Clouse, Aaron, Clouse, Amy O’Donnell, and Amanda Hilton; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Sue Sanders

She is preceded in death by her parents, and an infant baby brother.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Gladewater Memorial Park under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
