Services for Jacy Dawn Davis Whiteside, 18, of Big Sandy will be held 10:00 A.M, Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Antioch Baptist Church in Upshur County under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Burial will follow at Grice Cemetery in Upshur County. Ms. Whiteside passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in Tyler. She was born on July 17, 1993, in Tyler to Kerry Steven Whiteside and Shanon Davis. Jacy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hawkins. She is survived by her father, Kerry Whiteside of Timpson; mother, Shanon Davis, a Big Sandy police officer; sister, Katie Whiteside of Big Sandy; maternal grandfather, Eddie Davis of Big Sandy; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and JoAnn Whiteside of Gary, Texas and great grandmother, Hermolene Cortez of Big Sandy. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
