James Richard Dixon

GILMER – Memorial service for James Richard Dixon, 36, of Gilmer will be held at a later date. Arrangement are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Dixon passed Saturday, December 2, 2017 in a Longview hospital.

Mr. Dixon was born June 5, 1981 to Michael Dean and Lynda Ruth Beus Dixon in Athens, Greece. He held dual citizenship with both United States and Greece, and served as military police with the Air Force serving in both Afghanistan and Iraq. After leaving the military he worked security in the private sector.

Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife, Victoria Dixon; sons, Joshua Dixon, Seth Dixon and Trevor Dixon; parents, Michael and Lynda Dixon; brother, Patrick Dixon and wife, Meredith; in-laws, Bill and Joanne Bagley; sister-in-law, Jacie Townsend and husband, Dave; and numerous other family members.

No formal visitation is scheduled.
