James "Roy" Moore

Cremation services for James Robert "Roy" Moore, Jr., 59 of Big Sandy, are being conducted with Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Moore passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013 in Longview. Roy was born June 11, 1954 in Rockhill, SC, to James Robert Moore Sr. and Geraldine Robinson Moore, and after high school attended Clemson University and graduated from Catawba Academy. He was an electrical engineer and worked at Electrical Testing Specialist in Longview for 30 years. Mr. Moore was married Debbie Copeland Moore. He was a member of Pine Tree Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Moore, Sr.; his brother Marion Leslie "Doc" Moore, and his sister Evelyn Louise Moore. He is survived by his wife Debbie of Big Sandy; children and in-laws, Patton and Jana Knox of Big Sandy, Kim and Shawn Harris of Ft. Worth, Hannah Moore of Ft. Worth and Lyndsey Copeland of Big Sandy; grandchildren, Justin, Baylie and Brayden Harris, Wesley Jackson, and PJ and Chloe Knox; his mother Geraldine and Husband Don Hagstrom.
