Services for Mr. James Watson Gibson, 66, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M, Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Van Zandt and Madison Caffey officiating and interment to follow at Gum Springs Cemetery in Gregg County. Mr. Gibson passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010 in Gilmer. He was born December 4, 1943, in Longview to Daniel Mercer and Ruby Lee Watson Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a longtime resident of Gilmer and retired from Pine Tree ISD. He was a member of Star Antique Tractor and Engine Association and many people enjoyed the benefits of his woodworking talents. Mr. Gibson loved his family and was much loved and will be greatly missed by them. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gibson of Gilmer; son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Doris Gibson of Gilmer; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Jeff Vance of Gladewater, Connie and Scott Croom of Gilmer; stepson, Jamie Clough and his wife, Tona of Quinlan, stepdaughter, Tammy Sinclair and her husband, Scott of Liberty City; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Langston Brown of Hallsville, sister, Mary Southerland of Hallsville; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Grace Gibson; sister Dannie Myrtle Fleming and brother-in-law, Glen Southerland The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 12, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
