Jane Rogers

Mrs. Jane Rogers age, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Gilmer on Friday, March 30, 2018. Her husband Marion, held her hand as she passed and she was surrounded by friends and family. Jane was born in June of 1933 in New Willard, TX to the late Alonzo Lee and Clara Bell (Wilson) Gulley. Jane married Marion Rogers in June of 1972 in Winter Haven, Florida. Their marriage has lasted for 45 years and up until her passing, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church in Gilmer and the Rachel Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband, Marion Rogers; sons, David Rogers of Port Angles, WA, Gary Rogers and wife Robin of Gilmer, Joe Blankenship of Longview; daughter, Nancy Keckler and husband David of Reno, NV; brothers, Thurman and Hunter Gulley both of Zavalla, TX; sister, Grace Turner of Huntsville, TX; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Funeral services for Jane Rogers, 84, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, with visitation beginning one hour prior, at 10:00 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Brothers Mike Kessler and Marion Palmer officiating. Interment will be held at DFW National Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

Pallbearers for the service will be Curtis Hart, Sherrell Walker, Doug Johnson, Carl Reuther and Bobby Gipson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Rachel Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartsway Hospice of Northeast Texas, 4351 McCann Road, P. O. Box 5608, Longview, TX 75608. The loving staff of this organization has helped in a special way which has helped Jane fulfill her dreams and wishes to stay at home until her passing.
