Jeanette Ruth Loya Hux

Celebration of Life services for Jeanette Ruth Loya Hux, 80, of Big Sandy will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Hopewell Cemetery in Big Sandy with Reverend David Jackson officiating with burial following services. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Jeanette was born October 13, 1940 in Galveston, Texas to the late Jesse Loya and Ruth Scheffel Loya. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Jeanette was devoted to the Lord without question; teaching Sunday School at the Church on the Rock in Quitman and at the Hopewell United Methodist Church where she faithfully attended. She loved worshiping the Lord and praising his name with her tambourine. Jeanette enjoyed swimming, camping, being outdoors, picking wild flowers, going to the beach and above all spending time with her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas; where she would have a Christmas play and have her family dress in character. Jeanette will not soon be forgotten by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children Kevin Hux and wife Evelyn Denise, Laurie Hurt and husband Danny and Mark Hux and husband Edward Duranczyk, Jr.; six grandchildren Lacey Adkins and husband Garrett, Ciara Hurt, Jessie Hurt, Hunter Hux, Dallas Guill and Bailey Broeschin; great granddaughter Rylee Kate Adkins as well as many other loving family and friends.

Jeanette’s parents Jesse and Ruth Loya and husband William Raymond Hux precede her in death.
