Jeffrey Anthony Vance

Funeral service for Mr. Jeffrey Anthony Vance, age 63, of Gladewater, will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer with Bro. Gene Wright and Bro. Chad Richardson officiating, interment will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer.

Jeffrey was born on September 14, 1955 in North Wilkesboro, NC. He worked as a sheer operator for Crosby Lebus for many years and was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Jeffrey also proudly served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Vance of Union Grove; daughters, Monica Marshall and her husband, Aaron of Linden, Melissa Thomas and her husband, Jermy of Union Grove; brother, James Michael Vance and his wife, Angela of Cadet Missouri; sisters, Katrina Perry and her husband, Loyd of Gatesville, Cindy Newhall of Burnet, Jeanne Dotson of Euless, Linda Day and her husband Donald of Bedford; grandchildren, Kiyra, Kenneth, and Kalynn Marshall, Bryce, Brayden, and Braxton Thomas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ruth Vance, sisters Cheryl Rogers and Nancy Johnson and brother Dennis Vance.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Traditions Hospice, Fresenius Dialysis Center, Dr. Richard Hamer, Dr. Adam McDaniel, and Dr. Tajammal Fazili for the over and beyond care they gave him throughout many years.
