Joe Paul McDougald

Joe Paul McDougald, of Hawkins, passed away on January 23, 2022. Joe was born on July 4, 1958, in Big Sandy, to the late George D. and Eloise Haltom McDougald.

Joe worked for Two Rivers Grocery in Big Sandy for over 20 years and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Hawkins where he was a part of the choir.

He is survived by his sister Mary Hicks and husband, Larry and Sarah McDougald; two nephews, Kevin Hicks and wife Jennifer and Brady Hicks; as well as six great nieces and nephews, Hagen Hardee, Brayden Baker, Allie Hicks, Mya Hicks, Keaton Hicks, and Rylee Hicks.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service for Joe will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Hawkins with Dr. Bill Holmes officiating, interment to follow at Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
