Funeral services for Johnny Wayne Harris, 61 of Gilmer, will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Gilgal Baptist Church in Gilmer with Bro. Arthur Andrews, Rev. Huey C. Jones, Bro. Michael Webb and Rev. R. L. Curry officiating. Interment will follow at Community Cemetery in Upshur County under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Harris passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014, in Longview. Johnny was born on December 19, 1952, in Gilmer, Texas to R. D. and Ellen N. Robertson Harris. He was a lead man for Lebus Manufacturing and a member of Cypress Street Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Paula Hatten Harris of Gilmer; sons, Eric Harris of Frisco, Kenny Harris of Gilmer; daughter, Brandy Craft and her husband, Christopher Craft of Frisco; brother, Richard Dale Harris of Gilmer; sisters, Vanesse Wallace and Cathy Chalk both of Dallas; two grandchildren, Kynlee Greer-Harris and Aubree Faith Craft. Pallbearers are Ray Horton, Eddie Jones, Glen Moore, Bobby Moore, Broderick Wayne, Jeff Johnson, Cedric Johnson, Richard Pleasant and Cedric Fagan. His honorary pallbearers are Johnny Eric Harris, Kenny Harris, Christopher Craft, Richard Dale Harris, Tiny Zay Hatten, Michael Webb, Robert Chalk and Kenneth Mitchell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 20, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
