Juanita K. Coker, 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Services will be held at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 with interment following at Gilmer City Cemetery. Juanita K. Coker was born May 9th, 1931 in Ohio. She lived in Gilmer, Texas for many years with her loving husband and surrounded by several faithful friends. She was a florist at Betty Ann Florist in Ft. Pierce, Fl, and at Gilmer Flower Shop. Mrs. Coker also worked as a cook in the Gilmer jail. It wasn't until just a couple of years ago that she moved to Ft. Worth, to be near her son and his family. She enjoyed being visited constantly by her grandchildren and having them tell her how much they loved her. In her spare time she loved to read, paint and do puzzles. Survivors include: Richard Coker, husband of 53 years; a daughter, Vickie Stevens of Kansas City, KS; 3 sons, Tom Coker and wife Amy of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Al Coker and wife Sherry of Port Saint Lucie, FL, and Morrison Coker and wife Gina of Ft. Worth, TX. She has 7 wonderful grandchildren; Linda Walters and her husband John of Columbus, IN, Lacey Coker of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Tommy Coker of West Palm Beach, FL, Troy Coker or Port Saint Lucie, FL, Chad Cowsert of Port Saint Lucie, FL Jason, Wesley, and Aaron Coker of Ft. Worth, Texas, and 2 Great-grandchildren, Meagan Walters of Columbus, IN, and Jordan Harlin of Port Saint Lucie, FL She was preceded in death by her daughter, Benita Dee Coker. Viewing will on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. with services on Saturday, January 22 at 3:00 p.m.
