Julia Helen McDaniel

Julia Helen McDaniel passed away on November 11, 2021 in Gladewater, Texas. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 4, 1947 to the late Jack and Eleanor Conyers. Julia married her beloved husband Kenny McDaniel and they started off on their life together.

Julie was a homemaker that relished in serving her community and never met a stranger. When her children were school age, Julie was on the Gladewater ISD school board as well as volunteered tirelessly for the Gladewater Band Boosters. Julie was passionate about her country and volunteered any time she was able at veteran’s homes and for the Red Cross. Julie treasured hosting and entertaining at parties and showers. She loved to bake and share with others. She adored her Australian Shepherd, Bandit, and their time spent together. Julie cherished all things to do with her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny; children, Jami Jones (Jed), Jacki Hargrove (Chad), Matt McDaniel (Alicia), and Mike McDaniel; 3 grandchildren, Jace Jones, Brayden Hargrove, and Jaiden Calhoun McDaniel, as well as many other extended family members and friends. Julie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rick Conyers.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 3 pm in the chapel at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, 401 North Center Street. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Memorials in Julie’s name can be made to the Gladewater Band Booster Club, the Red Cross or to the Watkins-Logan Veterans Home.
