Kenneth LaNeal Holland

Kenneth LaNeal Holland, 63, of Gilmer was taken from this life on August 15, 2022. His loss was completely unexpected, and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Ken was born on February 1, 1959, to the late Kenneth Edward & Dion Holland. After graduating from Star Spencer High School in 1977, he worked in the oil field for many years before starting his own business.

Ken was a strong, protective, loving, and supportive father and a friend to many. His knowledge and guidance, along with his ability to lighten any situation with a laugh will be missed. He loved learning and sharing American history, country music and spending time with family.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Waller, granddaughter Olivia Stottlemyre, and grandson Stavian Rodriguez. He is survived by 4 daughters, Alice Holland, Cameo Holland, Christian Whisenhunt, & Candice Schultz. Ken was unendingly proud of his family, including his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer from 1-2pm. A memorial service will follow at 2pm. Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
