Larry Babel Painter

Graveside services for Larry Painter, 76, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Glenwood Cemetery in Upshur County with Larry W. Osborne officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mr. Painter passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 in Longview. He was born on October 7, 1937, in Upshur County to Babel and Juanita Painter. On December 14, 1962, he married Hazel Johnson. Mr. Painter was a salesman for Dealer Truck Equipment before his retirement. He is survived by his wife Hazel Painter of Gilmer; sons, Michael Painter and wife, Amanda, and Stephen Painter; sisters, Fayrene Tillman and Lonnie Ray. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
