Larry Gene Stewart

Services for Larry Gene Stewart, 68, of Longview will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas with Reverend Billy Foote officiating. Burial will follow at Cherokee Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Stewart passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012, in Longview. He was born on August 7, 1944, in Gilmer to Elton Leroy Stewart and Beulah Jean Lay Stewart. Larry served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and was the owner of 4-S Wrecker Service until his retirement. Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Kathy Stewart of Longview; mother, Jean Stewart of Longview; sons, Jesse Stewart of Henderson, Jason Ratcliff of Wylie; daughter, Lisa Stewart of Dallas; brothers, Gary Stewart of Lone Star, Danny Stewart of Kilgore, David Stewart of Kilgore; four grandchildren, Logan and Cecilia Stewart, MaryKate and Hayden Ratcliff. He was preceded in death by his father, Elton Stewart. Pallbearers will be Jason Ratcliff, Jesse Stewart, Logan Stewart, Ricky White, Brett Dalme and Dr. Larken Page. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
