Lena Mae Langford

Graveside services for Lena Mae Langford, 84, of Big Sandy, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Little Mound Cemetery in Upshur County with Bro. Donald Whisenhunt officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Mrs. Langford passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 and was born on February 13, 1932 in Upshur County, Texas to Dan and Lola Quinton. Mrs. Langford was a kitchen aide at Mary’s Kitchen and she was of the Baptist faith. She loved flowers and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Melvin Langford, Jr. of Gilmer; daughters, Jeannie Mobley and husband, Ricky of Winnsboro, Brenda Schuler and husband, James of Gilmer and Deanna Bowen and husband, Glenn of Big Sandy; brother, Roy Quinton of Tyler; sisters, Betty Porter of Whitehouse, Mary Gosdin of Ft Worth and Judy Lambert of Gladewater; grandchildren, Tana Cannon, Richard Mobley, Billy Jo Schuler, Stacie Cook, JD Schuler, Daniel Bowen, Kas’cee Langford and Kay’cee Langford; great grandchildren, Jordan Cannon, Jonathan Cannon, Madison Mobley, MaKayla Mobley, Mckenna Cook, Aarron Cook, Zane Almand, Ty Schuler, Kane Schuler, Cheyenne Bowen, Angel Whiddon, Jackson Whiddon, Elizabeth Langford and Kaden Langford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Lola Quinton; husband of 40 years, Melvin Langford, one sister and two brothers.

Pallbearers for the service will be Willie Langford, Jr., Michael Langford, Jr., Josh Langford, Michael Langford, Brandon Langford and Shane Gaines.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2016 at Noon until 1:30 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
