Graveside services for Linda Charlean Smith, 62, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Grice Cemetery in Upshur County with Bro. Jim Crump officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
Ms. Smith passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017. She was born on August 5, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to Thomas Morgan Russell and Charlean Wilson. Ms. Smith was baptized on July 6, 1977. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her fiancé, Carl Himes of Winnsboro; daughter, Juanita C. Buchanan and husband Bobby, of Winnsboro and Michele Smith Heard and husband Farrell, of Rosewood; brothers, Charles Russell and Lloyd Russell, both of Gilmer; sisters, Martha Kay Rush of North Carolina, Intha Vaugh of Marshall and Raynell Danley of Rosewood; grandchildren, Destiny Gordy, Chase Gordy, Makayla Smith, Grace Gordy, Ethen Heard, Landry Heard and great granddaughter, Brynleigh Gordy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Russell and Charlean Wilson and her brother, Tommy Russell.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
