Linda Faith Schroeder

Mrs. Linda Faith Schroeder, 68, of Gilmer, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at her home in Gilmer. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upshur County.

Linda was born January 5, 1952 in Cresco, Iowa to the late Roy Schmidt and Faith Tuttle Schmidt. She worked as a sitter in the home healthcare industry. However her devotion was to her family especially her children and grandchildren. Linda enjoyed gardening, watching birds and spending time with family and friends. She had a big heart and was always willing to help those in need often taking in young people who needed a place to live. Linda was always happy and greeted everyone with a smile and a hug. She firmly believed in having dessert first never wanting to wait for the best part of the meal. Linda will not soon be forgotten by all her loving family and friends.

Linda is survived by her husband Roger Schroeder; five children Rusty Schroeder and wife Pam, Daniel Meyer and wife Lisa, Matt Schroeder, Amy Meyer and Page Brown and husband Micah; four siblings Randall Schmidt and wife Judy, Bonny Reese and husband James, Bunny Bassler and Royaline Back and husband Gordon; sister-in-law Sharon Schmidt; eleven grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Faith Schmidt; sister Donna Terrence and brother Larry Schmidt.
