Linda Faye Kirkpatrick

Graveside services for Linda Faye Kirkpatrick, 68, of Hawkins, will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Hawkins City Cemetery, with Judge James Meredith officiating, interment will follow services under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. Kirkpatrick passed away Monday, February 12, 2018, in Tyler.

Linda was born December 11, 1949 in Tyler, Texas to the late Bennie Frank Meredith and Valley Faye Chastain. She retired in 2009 from the Hawkins Post Office as the Senior Mail Clerk after 29 years of service. Mrs. Kirkpatrick enjoyed playing games on Facebook and spending time with her family. She was an accomplished seamstress and made clothes for her family for many years. Linda loved animals especially her cats and would take in an orphaned cat at anytime. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

She is survived by her loving husband of more than 42 years Wayne Kirkpatrick; daughter Meredith Hancock and husband Clayton; sister Jeanie Faglie and husband Andy; brother James Meredith and wife Melissa; two granddaughters Abbi Jean Hancock and Caroline Leigh Jackson as well as many other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Smith County Pets Alive or a charity of your choosing.
