Lloyd Eugene Waller

Mr. Lloyd Eugene Waller, age 91, of Perryville, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Pittsburg. Lloyd was born in Upshur County on December 22, 1930 to the late Hershel and Omah Flowers Waller. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was a fixture for over 30 years at Bates Western Auto in Gilmer before retiring. He loved fishing at Lake O’ the Pines, or any pond, lake or watering hole that looked like it had fish in it. He also enjoyed gardening, having a laugh with family and friends, and was a Baptist.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Christelle Thomas; brothers, G.B. Waller, and Thomas “Buster” Waller.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Sue Waller of Perryville; daughters, Marsha Alexander and husband Terry of Winnsboro, Denise Bradley and husband Keith of Winnsboro; four grandchildren, Daniel Alexander and wife Brandi of Winnsboro, Alisha Alexander of Florida, Katelyn Orsburn and husband Travis of Pittsburg, Courtney Woodall and husband Will of Grand Saline; three great-grandchildren, Jayden and Macee Alexander of Winnsboro, Amberley Woodall of Grand Saline.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer, Dr. David Rose officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Perryville Cemetery in Wood County. Terry Alexander, Keith Bradley, Travis Orsburn, Daniel Alexander, Will Woodall, Jayden Alexander will serve as pallbearers.
