Lou Ella Poitevint

Services for Lou Ella Poitevint, 88, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 21 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Todd Quinn officiating and burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. She was born on January 24, 1924, in Lamesa, Texas to John Robert and Carrie West Gandy. On September 2, 1945, she married Jay T. Poitevint in Lamesa, Texas. Mrs. Poitevint lived in the Gilmer area since 1970 and was a retired clerk from Wal-Mart. She is survived by her son, Ralph Poitevint of Gilmer; daughter, Janet Knight of Gilmer; grandchildren, Janice East and her husband, Jeffrey; Jason Knight and his wife, Melissa; two great grandchildren, Caleb Knight, Abigail Knight(on the way). Mrs. Poitevint was preceded in death by her husband, Jay T. Poitevint; son-in-law, James Michael Knight; great grandson, Jacob James Knight; brothers, Howard Gandy, T. C. Gandy and Austin Gandy; sister Rachel Scott. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
