Funeral services for Mabry Dugger, 88, of Gilmer will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2011 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Jeremy Vass and Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mr. Dugger passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Dugger was born October 30, 1922 in the Rosewood community to Addison Granville and Sudie Dugger. Mabry was a retired truck driver for East Texas Motor Freight, a member of the Disabled American Veterans serving in World War II from 1943 to 1945, and a member of the Gilmer Church of Christ. He married Dorothy Lee Cole on August 26, 1945. Mabry is survived by his wife of 65 years: Dorothy Dugger; daughter and son-in-law: Jeannine and Terry Howard of Gilmer. He is also survived by his grandchildren and their spouses: Lori Dugger of Gilmer; David and Megan Howard of Tyler; Jenna and Justin Gray of Tyler; seven great-grandchildren: Gavan; Camden, Chandler, Anna Cate; Avery, Trevor, and Addison. In addition, Mabry is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Pete and Barbara Dugger; brother-in-law: Frankie Castloo and wife Gay; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Dugger was preceded in death by his son: Justin Wayne Dugger; brothers and sisters: Bynum, Leonard, Curtis, Mozelle, Gladys, Opal, Johnny, Levi, Yevon, and Lena Faye. Pallbearers will be David Howard, Justin Gray, John Crossland, Frankie Castloo, Norton Lovell, Tommy Langford, Pete Dugger, Jr., and Chuck Castloo. Memorial contributions can be made to ETMC Home Health, 914 W. Tyler, Gilmer, Texas 75644; Heart to Heart Hospice, 1402 Rice Road, Suite 100, Tyler, Texas 75703; or Gilmer Church of Christ P.O. Box 427, Gilmer, Texas 75644 Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Croley Funeral Home Gilmer.
