Margaret Monts

Services for Mrs. Margaret Monts, 93, of Gilmer will be held 3:00 P.M, Saturday January 8, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Holland Atchley officiating and interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. Monts passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Gilmer. She was born July 24, 1917, in Burkburnett, Texas to H. C. and Julia Miller McClellen. Mrs. Monts lived in Gilmer for 60 years and was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Henson and Peggy French both of the Cox Community; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Monts was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip E. Monts on August 18, 2005. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
