Mark Mahfood

Cremation arrangements for Mark Mahfood, 60, of Gladewater are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. A private family memorial observance of Mark’s life will take place at a later date. Mark passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, in Gladewater.

Mark was born November 30, 1957 in Kilgore to the late Kemal and Helen Mahfood. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and nature. Mark was an artist. He was a devoted pet owner. Mark worked for Brookshire’s as the Tasting Center Chef. He also worked for the Shepperd Estate for more than 30 years as one of Mamie Shepperd’s personal assistants. Mark was a man of many interests and talents that will be dearly missed by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.

Mark is survived by four sisters Tanya Wacasey, Ruth Overstreet, Norma Heinaman and husband Jerry and Nahbeeha Mahfood; four brothers E.N. Mahfood, Kemal Mahfood, Harry Mahfood and wife Fara and Alex Wacasey and wife Doni as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Ray Mahfood and beloved older sister Almaas Wacasey.
