Funeral service for Ms. Martha Jane Williams Mimier, 86, of Gilmer will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gilmer with Judge Dean Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the Enoch Cemetery in Upshur County under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Ms. Mimier passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Gilmer. Born on November 8, 1928, in Bradenton, Florida to Rufus Charles and Ann Peacock Williams, she graduated from Manatee High School, and Florida State University; where she was a Majorette and played violin in the FSU Orchestra. Ms. Mimier was the head dietitian at Hockaday School for Girls and Samuel High School in Dallas. Moving her family from Dallas to East Texas to a Farm in Ore City, she took on new roles and became the owner of the Coffeeville Store with her son, David Royer. She served as Dietitician for many nursing homes in the East Texas area as well as Titus County Hospital. Jane taught food service at Kilgore College for 20 years. She was the administrator and co-owner of Upshur County EMS for over two decades before retiring in 2003 at the age of 75. Jane and her son, David Royer owned Canyon Point Store and Santa Fe Grill; she also owned a shoe store and restaurant in Longview. Ms. Mimier was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of Gilmer Rotary Club, served as choir director at the Church she so loved, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dallas and Gilmer. Proceeded in death by her brother, Raymond David Williams and niece,Terry Haucke. Ms. Mimier is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-laws, David Royer and Wendy West, John and Kim Mimier; grandchildren, James Lee Royer, Shae Royer, Bethany Royer, Demi West, Samuel Mimier, Sadie Mimier and Jennah Mimier; two great grandchildren, Canaan Royer and McKinley Royer; sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams; niece, Carla Stiver and husband, Bill; nephews Tom Williams and wife, Pam and Ray Williams; many great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April l5, and 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
