HAWKINS " Memorial service for Marvin Earl Garrison, 81, of Hawkins will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Garrison passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Tyler. Mr. Garrison was born December 29, 1934, in Ravenna, TX to Marvin Glen and Mable Scarbough Garrison. He retired from the warehouse division of Safeway Grocery. He is survived by his son, Donald Glen Garrison of Blossom; daughter, Patricia Earlene Gonzales of North Richland Hills; sister, Murle Walker of Big Sandy; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mr. Garrison is preceded in death by his parents. No formal visitation is scheduled. The family request, that donations be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Drive, Tyler, TX 75701.
