Mary Anne Patterson

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Anne Patterson, 89 of Plano, formerly of Gilmer will be held 3:00 P.M, Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Texas with Larry W. Osborne officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Born on August 21, 1922, to Robert L. and Della Humphreys, she died on Monday, February 6. 2012, in Plano, Texas. A lifelong resident of Upshur County until she moved to Plano in 2005, she was a 1940 graduate of Gilmer High School. After finishing high school, she worked in the County Clerk"s Office and the Upshur County Abstract Office. From 1951 she was primarily a homemaker. An active member of the Gilmer First Baptist Church, she was involved in every facet of the church, especially the WMU organization. She, in addition, was a member of the Gilmer Bluebonnet Club. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Lonnie Morris of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Amy Morris of Plano, Pat Morris of Denton; nephew Fayron Gage and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Patterson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2:00 until 2:45 P.M. at the funeral home.
