Funeral services for Mary Evelyn Hamberlin, 76, of Gilmer will be held Tuesday, February 28 at 10:00 am, at Enon Baptist Church in Gilmer, with Dr. Ray Thompson and Bro. Randy Stracener officiating. Interment will follow at Enon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Hamberlin went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at home with family by her side. She was born May 29, 1935 to Odis and Thelma Moore in Gilmer. She was a graduate of Union Hill High School. Mrs. Hamberlin was a devoted member of Enon Baptist Church. For many years she was President of Enon"s Women"s Missionary Auxiliary (WMA), and in years past worked closely with Sunbeams, Girl"s Missionary Auxiliary (GMA) and Vacation Bible School"Mrs. Mary loved working with children and teaching them about the Lord. Over the years she held many offices with District and Texas WMA. She was also Treasurer for Enon Cemetery Association. Mary was a gentle, caring woman, devoted to her family, friends and church. Everyone who knew her, loved her; and she loved them. Most of all, we will miss her smile and laugh, her encouraging words, and warm hugs. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Robert Chamberlain of Gilmer; daughter, Marylee Klinkhammer of Berne, Indiana; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kara Hamberlin of Lawson, Missouri; six grandchildren, Kyle Chamberlain, Cory Chamberlain, Tobyhanna Klinkhammer, Westlyn Klinkhammer, Kylee Maurer, Gracee Hamberlin. Mrs. Hamberlin was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Talmadge Glynn Hamberlin; parents Odis and Thelma Moore; sister, Ruby Hoffpauir; and brother Olan Moore. Pallbearers will be Todd Davidson, Jeff Hood, David Lewton, Junior Reynolds, Doyle Woodlief and Milton Wylie. Visitation will be Monday, February 27 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm in the chapel at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
