Mrs. Mary Lou Lee, age 83, of Clinton, MS., formerly of Gilmer, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Clinton Health Care in Clinton, MS.
Mary Lou was born in Bullard, TX. on May 10, 1935 to the late Thomas Hunley, Sr., and Mary Eliza (Green) Hunley. She was a devoted homemaker and member of the Cherokee Baptist Church in Upshur County. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, cooking for family get-togethers, and spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She married the late, Carl M. Lee on July 10, 1953, he preceded her in death in 2013; she was also preceded by her parents; two brothers, Tommy Hunley, Jr., and M.G. Hunley; and a grandson, Clint Lee.
She is survived by her son, Randy Lee and wife Gail of Clinton, MS.; grandchildren, Brett Lee and wife Brittnye, Kurt Lee, Bridget Crowder and husband Trey; four great-grandchildren, Aiden Lee, Lilly Crowder, Addison Crowder, and Brian Crowder.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer, 305 W. Harrison St., Gilmer, TX 75466. Graveside services will follow on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Bro. Madison Caffey conducting.
