Mary Ruth Gibbons Loftis

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Ruth Loftis, 90, of Gilmer, TX will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Mike Kessler officiating, interment to follow service at Crossroads Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday. Mrs. Loftis passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in Gilmer, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 29, 1928, in Upshur County to Cecil and Dela (Goodson) Moore. She retired from Mike Benet Formal where she was a seamstress. Mary was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Gilmer and loved making Christmas decorations, spending time gardening, and caring for wildlife.
Mrs. Loftis is survived by her son, Billy Gibbons of Gilmer; daughter, Sue Humphreys and her husband, Mike of Gilmer; sisters, Lou Caffey of Longview, Claudine Boren and her husband, Ed of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Kim Samples and her husband, Rusty, of San Antonio, Adrian Gibbons of Temple; great grandchildren, Kayla MacWithey and her husband, Ethen, Jamie Attaway, Clayton Crow, Addi Crow, Aidan Gibbons, Adrian Gibbons; great great grandchildren, Connor MacWithey, Cooper Attaway, Damien MacWithey, Bryleigh Attaway, and Austin MacWithey
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Billy Gibbons; husband, Doyce Loftis; sister, Marie Phillips; brother-in-law, Melvin Caffey.
