Maureen Harris

Funeral services for Mrs. Maureen Harris, 78, of Gilmer will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 25, 2016 in the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Interment will follow at East Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. Harris passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at her residence in Gilmer. She was born in Longview, Texas on January 17, 1937, to Marshall Brody Higginbotham and Macie Myrtle Higginbotham. She married her husband Alfred Wesley Harris on December 15, 1959. Mrs. Harris was a Homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God. Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Alfred Wesley Harris; sons, Johnny Harris & wife Becky of Gilmer, Steve Harris & wife Tissha of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Debra Harris of Gilmer, Sheila Potter & boyfriend Freddy Roberts of Gilmer; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Robert Wesley Harris, daughter-in-law, Kathy Ann Harris, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. They family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 " 7:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
