Graveside services for Mayo Francis Brown, 70, of Big Sandy will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2011 at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy with Reverend Seth Johnston and Reverend Jeremiah Dollgener officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer Mr. Brown passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 in a Longview hospital. Mr. Brown was born June 1, 1940 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Clyde and Madge Beets Brown. He was retired from the oilfield industry and a member of the First Baptist Church of Big Sandy and had lived in Upshur County for 37 years. He is survived by his wife: Karen Brown of Big Sandy; daughter: Kelly Brown of Holly Lake; mother-in-law: Norma McWilliams of Big Sandy; brother and sister-in-law: Skip and Barbara McWilliams of Big Sandy; and sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Harold Sandusky of Porum, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his daughter: April Diana Brown, brother: Dwayne Brown, and sister: Margaret Dean. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
