Melvin Dean Maxwell, Jr.

Graveside memorial services for Melvin Dean Maxwell, Jr., 59 of Gilmer, Texas will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 3:30 P.M., at Glade Creek Cemetery. Mr. Maxwell passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Gilmer.
He was born on August 21, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to Melvin Dean Maxwell, Sr. and Sherry Pritchett. Melvin enjoyed his hobbies of fishing, taking care of his animals, singing karaoke, gardening and going to auctions. He loved his grandkids and his church, Glade Creek Baptist.
Melvin is survived by parents; daughters, Deanna Pelaez, Cathy Williams, Ashley Williams, Katrina Maxwell and Misty Upshaw; brothers, Brian Maxwell, Roylee Hicks, Shane Harp and Christopher Maxwell and nineteen grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol Maxwell; stepmom, Betty Maxwell; uncle, Lynn Maxwell and brother, Gordon Maxwell.
