Morris Weldon Brown

Services for Morris W. Brown will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in White Oak with Pastor Chad Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at White Oak Cemetery and all services will be under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. Mr. Brown passed at his home in White Oak on September 3, 2014. Morris was born to Weldon and Wilda Brown on March 2, 1939 in Mineola, Texas. He married Eva Lynn Fletcher on November 25, 1975 in Idabell, Oklahoma. Morris was a truck driver for Skeeter Boats and served in the National Guard. He and his wife, Eva, have called White Oak home for 38 years and were members of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Eva; daughter Jennifer Brown of Temple; sons: Curtis Blankenship and wife Susie of Pittsburg, Jerry Blankenship and wife Martha of White Oak, Tracy Blankenship and wife Kathy of Gladewater; grandchildren: Jeremy Blankenship and wife Mary of White Oak, Josh Blankenship of Kilgore, Jana Blankenship of Spring Hill, Todd Blankenship of Little Rock, Craig Blankenship and wife Cynda Blankenship of Longview, Klint Blankenship and wife Nineveh of Gladewater, Barrett Blankenship and wife Shannon of Houston; great grandchildren: Rhyana, Aaron, Grace, Hailey, Tyler, Caiden, McKenna, Cora, Fannin and numerous nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Darlene Haggerton of Mineola. He was preceded in death by parents Weldon Brown and Wilda Radzinsky as well as his son, Mike Blankenship. The visitation will be at Emmanuel Baptist Church beginning just prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
