Msgt. Alford B. Ledbetter

Graveside services for Msgt. Alfred B. Ledbetter, retired, 76 of Simpsonville will be held 11:00A.M, Wednesday, February, 16, 2011, at Simpsonville Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas with Bro. David Jackson officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Msgt. Ledbetter passed away on Sunday, February, 13, 2011, in Simpsonville. He was born January 19, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to Elmer and Annie Prestige Ledbetter. After retiring from the U. S. Air Force, he was the head of maintenance at Union Hill School until his retirement and a former school board member of Union Hill School. Mr. Ledbetter is survived by his wife, Leticia Ledbetter of Simpsonville; sons, Gary Richie of Grand Prairie, Alfred Ledbetter, Jr. "Toby" of Euless, Randall Ledbetter and wife, Patricia of Simpsonville, Dr. John Ledbetter and wife, Vickie of San Antonio, Dr. Edward Ledbetter and wife, Karen of Gladewater; daughter, Stacey Duffey and husband, Van of Simpsonville; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Marc Duffey, Brian Cox, Jonathan Ledbetter, Bobby Ledbetter, Trey Ledbetter and Jared Persinger. Honorary Pallbearers are Greg Richie, Chad Blackburn and Brent Persinger. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February, 15, 2011 from 7:00 until 9:00 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 5016 Gilmer, Road, Longview, Texas 75604.
