Nelda Jean Fielden Beard

Graveside services for Nelda Jean Fielden Beard, 77, of Big Sandy, Texas will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2015 at Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas with Reverend David Mays officiating. Mrs. Beard passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 in Houston. She was born April 23, 1938, in Leesburg, Texas to John Alexander Fielden and Cora Myrtle Maloney Fielden. Mrs. Beard was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Beard of Big Sandy; two daughters, Debbie Benson and husband, Jim and Paula Williams; sister, Virginia Folmar; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
