Services for Norma Ella Peters Willoughby, 85, of Longview will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at North Loop Church of Christ with Murphy Phillips and Joe Chase officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. Mrs. Willoughby passed away on August 6, 2016 in Longview, Texas. Norma Ella Willoughby was born to Ben Richard Peters and Minnie Hercek Peters on April 23, 1931 in Robstown, Texas. She married her sweetheart, Tommy Ray Willoughby on June 20, 1954. She was a devoted, loving Godly wife, mother, "Memaw" and teacher. Attending both Texas Lutheran College and Stephen F. Austin she attained a Masters Degree in Education and taught 10 years in Gladewater and 20 years in Pine Tree. She was known for her gracious personality and even while in the care of others Norma was quick to offer her gratitude and thanks for the kind attention she received. Norma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Sherry Willoughby; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gene Pike; grandsons: Logan Willoughby, Jeremy and Justin Pike numerous cousins and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving and devoted husband, Tommy Ray Willoughby. The family wishes to express their gratitude to those of the assisted living facility, the sitters and the team from Heart to Heart Hospice who took such wonderful care of their "Memaw".
