Patricia Emmaline Floyd

Celebration of Life services for Patricia Emmaline Petty Floyd, 85, of Gilmer will be Sunday, April 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Mrs. Floyd passed away at her home by family on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

Mrs. Floyd was born December 30, 1932 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Arthur Deariso and Gladys Dooley Deariso. Mrs. Floyd served as a Weather Forecaster for the Air Force. After leaving the military Patricia completed her education and went on to teach school in Gilmer for more than fifteen years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Mrs. Floyd loved art and enjoyed painting and drawing. Patricia will be truly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

She is survived by her husband A.C. Floyd of Gilmer; son Craig Petty of Austin; daughter Andrea Rivera of Gilmer; two sisters Kay Hall of Moultrie, GA and Lynn Henderson of Dallas, GA; brother E.H. Deariso; two grandchildren Marina Zavala and Michael Zavala; three great grandchildren Abigail, Jordan and Jacob as well as many other loving family and friends.

Mrs. Floyd is preceded in death by her parents and son Steven Petty.
