Rick was a devoted father and grandfather, who was very active in their lives. Loving them and serving the Lord was his greatest legacy. Rick was active in service to the Lord in various church homes throughout the years. He taught Sunday school, played and sang on worship teams, and ministered Christ’s love wherever the Lord led him. Rick honorably served in the Army at Fort Hood for over 2 years. He worked in sales, private security, and had a carpet cleaning business in his younger years. He served on the Acquire The Fire ministry team traveling all over the US for many years and most recently drove for the Transit System of Tyler, TX. Rick was currently retired. He attended the First Assembly of God in Hawkins, TX and upon occasion attended services with his children at Summit Heights Fellowship in Hawkins, TX. Rick came to know Jesus at an early age and has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior.
Rick loved spending time with his family, reading his Bible, going out to eat,
traveling, and watching the Dallas Cowboys play football. He was a BIG fan.
He also had a very tender heart. It didn’t take much to bring tears to his eyes. He
took a lot of teasing over it but his family loved that about him. And for all of the
troubles of life, Rick always tried to look on the bright side of everything.
