Robert Donald Bush

Mr. Robert Donald Bush, 80, of Longview, TX passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019, in Longview. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Mr. Bush was born in Dubuque, Iowa on April 9, 1939, to Donald Bush and Ruth Lorimer Bush. He was a retired Executive Director of the National Advisory Council on Historic Preservation in Washington, D. C. Mr. Bush was an author, a member of the Gilmer Rotary Club, and a member of the Southern Historical Society. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his children, Sarah Daigle (Blaine) of Gretna, LA., Susan Utter (Rob) of Houston, Carolyn Williams (Lane) of Gilmer, Jennifer Bush of Salisbury, N. C., David Bush (Sheila) of Cheyenne, WY; step daughter, Lisa Corboy (Chip) of Boulder, CO; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
