Ruthey Aslee Hatch

Graveside services for Ruthey Aslee Word Hatch, 88, of Gladewater will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Rock Springs Cemetery in Gladewater with Reverend Kenny Word officiating. Interment will follow the services. Mrs. Hatch passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in Longview.

Mrs. Hatch was born August 25, 1929 in Gladewater to the late Jewel Word and Oma Lee Thomas Word. Ruthey worked as a Beauty operator in Fort Worth for many years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family. Mrs. Hatch was a special loving lady; who was devoted to her family. She will be dearly missed by all the family and friends she leaves behind.

Ruthey is survived by her son Thomas Hatch and good friend Mary Pyle; sister Virginia Smith; sister-in-law Brenda Word; brother-in-law Dean Snyder; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jewel and Oma Lee Word and her son Rodney Hatch

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
