Sarah Ann Harris

Mrs. Sarah Ann Harris, of Big Sandy, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her home. Sarah was born on November 21, 1934 in Gilmer to the late Hubert Ted Garrett and Mildred Irene Dill Garrett.

She was a loving and devoted homemaker to her husband and four children, before attaining her insurance license to work alongside her husband for Southwest Insurance for many years. Sarah was also a talented seamstress, and an amazing cook, most especially her fried chicken. She loved to plant and tend to her flower and vegetable gardens, read the bible, go fishing with her husband, and crochet. She enjoyed fellowshipping and sharing her sweet spirit with her family, friends, and church family, at family get togethers, holidays, and church events. Sarah was sweet, strong, determined, and a fighter, the heart and soul of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 60 years, Mr. David Glen Harris; brother, Ted Garrett; sisters, Bobbie Fields, and baby sister Glenda Ruth.
