Sarah Bruns Whalen

Funeral services for Sarah Bruns Whalen, 38, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Mr. Larry Cowan officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer.

Sarah was born on July 9, 1978 in Dallas, Texas to Robert and Janie Lange Bruns and she passed away on April 30, 2017 in Gilmer. Sarah was a paramedic, loved the Dallas Mavericks, and cared deeply for her family, especially her girls.

She is survived by her parents, Robbie and Janie Bruns of Gilmer; husband, Wes Whalen of Gilmer; daughters, Catherine Bruns (19) of St. Louis, MO and Sarah Madison Whalen (12) of Gilmer and brother, Ryan Bruns and his wife Nicole of Prosper.

Pallbearers for the service will be Billy Joe Williams, Seth Sparkman, David Powers, Tommy Smith, Jeff McClure and Gary Patterson.

No formal visitation will be held.
