Sherilyn Ann Summer

Memorial service for Mrs. Sherilyn Ann Summers, 72, of Pittsburg, TX will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the Church of Power with Bro. Mark Huffines and Mr. Larry Gilliam officiating. Mrs. Summers passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in at her home in Pittsburg.

Sherilyn was born March 28, 1946, in Oakland, CA to the late Lester and Gladys (Bond) Roan. Alongside her husband, she owned Simpsonville County Store for 15 years. Mrs. Summers loved arts and crafts, especially painting water colors and floral designs. She also a member of the Church of Power, where she played the bass guitar in the church band for 15 years.

Sherilyn is survived by her husband, John Summers of Brumley; sons, Steven Summers and wife, Amanda of Omaha, NB, Jeffery Summers of Tyler, John Michael Summers and wife, Kristi of Dallas; brother, Steven Roan and his wife Mary of Nacogdoches; nephews, Gregg and Scotty; brothers-in-law, Elbert Joseph Summers III and his wife, Mary Elen of Palm Spring, CA, Jess Hubbard Summers and his wife, Jean of Jackson, MS; sister Susan New and her husband, Ron of Brumley; and grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Daniel, McKenzie, and Lilly Summers.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
