Shirley Ann Upchurch

Shirley Ann Upchurch, 73, of Gladewater passed away on January 11, 2018 in Gladewater, Texas. Shirley was born March 26, 1944 to the late Claudie Leemon Redwine and Cordelia Ann Melton, in Hensley, Arkansas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.

Shirley loved all varieties of flowers and she was known to be a wonderful cook; however the most important element of her life was the adoring family she surrounded herself with. She worked outside of the home, but home was where her heart belonged, she enjoyed taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, great grandmother and will be missed by all.

She is survived by Katherine Alexander and husband Tim of Big Sandy; Sons Gerald W. Loftin , Sr. and wife Karen of Shady Shores, Texas, Kevin D. Upchurch and wife Donna of Pritchett, Texas and sister-in-law Betty Jo Vannucci of Carrollton, Texas.

Shirley is preceded in death by husband Kenneth Dale Upchurch and three sisters.
