Sieglinde K. Perry

Sieglinde Perry (born Sieglinde Steinsdorfer) was born on December 21, 1934 in the village of Gaden, Germany, near the town of Abensberg. As a young adult she worked in Heidelberg, Germany where she met her husband, Richard Perry of Gladewater, Texas, who was serving in the military at the time. She moved to Texas where they married in 1956, and they remained in Gladewater ever since. Sieglinde put in many years of hard work helping Richard manage their laundromat while also raising their daughter Linda. She is remembered by her family as being a good cook, seamstress and avid gardener, with a particular love for flowers of all kinds. She loved being in nature and had a knack for identifying plants and trees, and she had a fondness for animals. She loved to go on drives out in the country and accompany her husband and grandson Justin to trade days and garage sales. Sieglinde is remembered for her sharp wit, keen sense of humor, and being a good listener. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones. She passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Greg Pelham, and is survived by her husband Richard Perry, daughter Linda Pelham, grandson Justin Pelham and his wife Kelsey, and great-granddaughter Ellie Pelham.
