Sue Goolsby Marsh

Funeral service for Mrs. Sue Goolsby Marsh, 72, of Gilmer will be held Friday, November 2, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Gilmer with Bro. Mike Kessler officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park following the service. Mrs. Marsh passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 in San Antonio, TX.

Mrs. Marsh was born May 20, 1946 in Newsom, TX to the late Odie and Hazel (Young) Goolsby. She was the owner of the Gilmer Crafters Mall for 13 years and had a genuine love for everyone who walked through her door. She lived a life of service to others and was a member of many civic clubs, including the Rotary Club, she served on the Main Street Committee, and the Yamboree Committee. She was also a foster parent and changed the lives of many children. She enjoyed being with her family above all else, especially her many grandchildren, and she will be missed tremendously by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen Andrew Marsh and James Bradley Marsh; daughters, Leigh Ann Snyder and husband Stephen, Jennifer Washington and husband Derrick, Leslie Erin Hunt and husband Dustin; brother Paul Goolsby; sisters Wanda Mattes, and Linda Farber; and grandchildren, Mychael Bradley Marsh, Brandi Marsh, and Travis Dylan Marsh, Sydney Snyder, Anderson Snyder, Addisyn Snyder, Colton Hunt, Sienna Hunt, Derrick Washington, Elijah Washington, Isaiah Washington, Robert Washington, and great-grandchildren Preston Marsh and Sylvia Marsh.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Edward Marsh, and parents.
