Thomas Elton "Tom" Bennett

Celebration of life services for Thomas Elton “Tom” Bennett, 56, of Karnack will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Mr. Bennett passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Dallas.

Tom was born July 14, 1961 in Memphis, Tennessee to Charles Murray Bennett and Linda Laisle Bennett. Mr. Bennett served in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Italy where he developed a taste for Italian food and cappuccino as well as a love of art. Tom enjoyed tinkering on anything, fishing, hunting, building model cars and planes. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Waskom. Mr. Bennett worked as a large generator mechanic and then later in life collected and sold knives. He also enjoyed music and played the trumpet and could sing Baritone or Tenor. Tom will truly be missed by all the family and friends he leaves behind.

He is survived by his mother Linda Bennett; two daughters Victoria Amber Bennett and Hannah Michelle Bennett; two sons Johnathon Michael Bennett and Thomas Elton Bennett, Jr. Pease; sister Kimberly Yvonne Bennett; brother Charles Dale Bennett and wife Lupita; as well as many other loving family and friends.

Tom is preceded in death by his father Charles Murray Bennett who passed away in March of this year.
