Thomas Neil Hopper

Memorial services for Thomas Neil Hopper, 84, of Perryville Community, Winnsboro, Texas will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Central Christian Church in Winnsboro with Reverend Kevin Hollowell officiating. The family will also be having a memorial service for Mr. Hopper in Portland, Oregon in mid-September. Mr. Hopper passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in Winnsboro, Texas. Mr. Hopper was born on August 21, 1931 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Cecil Jonathan Hopper and Olive White Hopper. He attended and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Doctor of Education Degree. Mr. Hopper became an ordained minister with Unity School of Christianity. He served many years in churches in Kansas City, Missouri, San Diego, California, Auckland, New Zealand and Vancouver, BC. Mr. Hopper is survived by his wife of 47 years Esther Ruth Horton Hopper; sons, George Frey of Arizona, John Frey of Dallas; daughters, Tammy Ulrich of Portland, Oregon, Kathi Ritchey of Albuquerque, NM, Jean Pittman of Perryville and Susan Kirwin of Lees Summit, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
