Velma A. Beasley

Services for Velma A. Beasley, 95, will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins with Bro. Bill Holmes officiating, interment to follow at Hawkins Cemetery. A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, prior to the service. Mrs. Beasley passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019, in Gilmer.
Velma was born February 13, 1924, in Wood County, to Herman E. and Nancy Jane Danner Hail. She worked for many years at Chester Hospital and Clinic in Dallas and U. T. Health Center in Tyler before her retirement. She married James Leon Beasley on March 8, 1941, in Frankston, and she attended First Baptist Church in Hawkins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James, two brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Barbara Deen and Kathy Toon; two grandchildren, Alan Toon and wife, Kelly, Selina Smith and husband, Tim; three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
